ALMOST THERE!

Thank you so much to all who during 2006 responded to
the “Finish the Building” project in Honduras.
The funds have come in, two teams went down to work,
and some local labor was hired. All of this moves us closer to completion.
In early February of this year,
another team went to get us almost there, as they go to work on wall partitions,
and the floor on the final phase.

Finishing the physical structure, though, is only part of what we have set out to do. More important will be the effect on people’s lives, as well as seizing the opportunities to proclaim the Gospel. In a sense this has already begun. For the second year, a team of Canadian doctors spent a week in November 2006, making use of the clinic to provide medical care. This time, a Honduran doctor was also involved with them in the work.

Being almost there, in terms of finishing the building, leaves us with the need to take steps toward an effective use of the facilities. We are praying that the following goals might be accomplished during the course of 2007

1. That a Honduran physician might provide medical care to the people in the community on a part time basis, supplemented by two or three medical teams during the year.

2. That modular Bible and ministry courses might begin to be offered on a regular basis in order to train missionaries and Christian workers for the rural areas.

3. That the Lord will provide the personnel and financial resources for the above.

4. That what is done at the facilities, the medical care and the training seminars will result in opportunities to proclaim the Gospel, and that as people come to Christ, that the church at El Renuevo and in the surrounding areas might grow in Him.
